For students attending Marathi medium schools, the registration fee is 220 rupees. For students attending English medium schools, the registration fee is 320 rupees. For individual student registration, the fee is 500 rupees. These fees apply to all regions and all types of schools with regular fees.
The competition consists of a written exam, which tests students’ knowledge of science subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology. The exam is usually held in November or December.
Four main stages of Dr Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition:
- Theory competition: This stage consists of an online written exam that tests students’ knowledge of science subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology.
- General interview: This stage consists of an online interview in which students are asked to discuss their scientific interests and achievements.
- Evaluation and interview on the action research project: This stage consists of an online evaluation and interview of the students’ action research project, which is a research project that focuses on finding solutions to real-world problems.
