Geo Genius

Geo Genius National Geography Olympiad is a two-level examination. Level-I is a preliminary exam that is conducted at the respective school and the meritorious students will be eligible to appear for Level-II exam. The new schedule for the Next session of Geo Genius 2020-2021 is not announced yet. The students of State Board, ICSE Board, CBSE Board, and International Boards of Class 2nd to 10th are eligible for the Olympiad.


Geo Genius Application Form

Schools can fill the registration form from the official website of Geo Genius or with the help of the link which will be provided below. Students who wish to participate need to contact the teacher-in-charge at school. Students will be registered by schools only. Individual registration by the student will not be entertained.

  • Fees: The expected fee structure for Geo Genius 2020-21 is provided below:
  • Exam Fees – Rs. 150 per student.
  • Preparatory Text Book – Rs. 100.

Geo Genius Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for 10th Geo Genius National Geography Olympiad is provided below:

Students of State Board, ICSE Board, CBSE Board and International Boards. Standard II to X only.

Registration of at least 50 students from respective school is considered essential for the successful registration of school with the IBGB Learning Society. Student registration should only be rooted through school. Individual registration by the student will not be entertained.

Geo Genius Exam Pattern

Geo Genius National Geography Olympiad is a two level examination. Level-I is a preliminary exam which is conducted at the respective school and the meritorious students will be eligible to appear for LevelII exam scheduled at Kota.

The Students are divided into three categories for the Geography Olympiad.

Class 2 to 4 – Sub-Junior Category

Class 5 to 7 – Junior Category

Class 8 to 10 – Senior category

The structure of Geo Genius 2019-2020 is provided below:

Level 1 -The question paper will be based on testing the Geographical knowledge of the student. In Level I 40 MCQ’s will be given for Sub Junior Category and 50 MCQ’s each for Junior and Senior category respectively.

Level 2 – Meritorious students in each category from Level 1, will become eligible to appear for Level 2 National Finals.

Level II will be a written exam with 50 multiple choice questions followed by an audio visual round. Students have to clear the Level II written exam to qualify for the audio visual round. Only top 10 participants will be appearing for the audio visual round. All the travelling and boarding expenditure will be incurred by the participating student/parent/teacher for the National Final Level II exam at Kota, Rajasthan.
